| Manila International Freight
Forwarders, Inc. was incorporated in 1998 by a group of
young and aggressive businessmen to serve the expanding
needs of the Philippine Export and Import Market for
transport system. Within the two years of initial
registration, MIFFI was granted a Civil Aeronautics Board
(CAB) license in July 1990. Based on its performance and
impressive record in the industry, it was given due
recognition by the International Air Transport Association (IATA)
in October 1991.
In 1995, Hitachi Transport System Ltd. (HTS) of Tokyo,
Japan made an investment in the company. HTS is one of the
biggest cargo handler and transport companies in the world
with 270 offices worldwide including MIFFI in the
Philippines. With technology being provided by its new
investor, MIFFI diversifies its operation. It has maintained
an excellent relationship with all the major carriers doing
business in the Philippines.
The company offers the services of freight and cargo
forwarding, carrying, hauling, distributing, loading and
unloading of general and all classes of goods, wares and
merchandise. Through its subsidiary, MIFFI Logistics Co.,
Inc., the services of packing and warehousing are offered.
In line with the Philippine government import
liberalization program and its thrust in attaining economic
stability by the year 2000, MIFFI has started upgrading and
expanding its human, financial and physical resources to
meet the projected growth in trade activities. On its 10th
year of operation, MIFFI performance has been marked with
remarkable growth and profitability. As of March 2005, the
total capitalization reached 8 Million Pesos, while the
